France is in a health war, said French President Emmanuel Macron.

"I say to you with great solemnity this evening, listen to the healthcare workers who say: If you want to aid us, you must stay at home and avoid contact," DW reported quoting Macron. He has warned people to "severely restrict movements for the next 15 days at least."

According to him, companies must do more to help employees work from home.

"We are in a health war,” he said adding that "never before has France had to take such obviously exceptional, obviously temporary measures in peacetime.”
