Armenian Investigative Committee's former deputy chair Vahagn Harutyunyan was released in Russia on Monday as limitations expired in a criminal case, according to Russian legislation, Armenian prosecutor’s office spokesperson Arevik Khachatryan told Armenian News - NEWS.am.
Vahagn Harutyunyan, who is accused of forgery of evidence and abuse of power, was detained in Russia on Sunday.
The court of general jurisdiction of Yerevan today will continue to consider the application of the prosecutor's office to arrest Vahagn Harutyunyan.
