Turkish authorities arrested 24 people for posting “fake and provocative” reports on coronavirus outbreak on social media, Ahval reported quoting Turkish internal affairs ministry.

The ministry discovered 137 suspects and 24 of them were arrested.

Turkey reported the first coronavirus death a day ago, the number of infected climbed to 98.

The Turkish government took new measures to stop the spread of the virus by suspending prayers in mosques and closing restaurants, cafes, cinemas, wedding venues and events. Flights from 20 countries are prohibited.
