The number of COVID-19 patients in Iran has exceeded 60,000, Tasnim reported referring to the country’s health ministry. 

And 24,000 patients have already recovered.

According to the health ministry spokesperson, Kianoosh Jahanpoor, the number of people diagnosed with coronavirus reached 60,500.

According to Jahanpoor, the coronavirus death toll in Iran now stands at 3,739 after 136 patients lost their lives in a day.

Currently, 4,083 patients are being treated in the country's hospitals.
