YEREVAN. – The entire accountability for the problems in connection with the spread of coronavirus lies with the government, and first and foremost with the Ministry of Health. Edmon Marukyan, leader of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and its parliamentary faction, stated this in a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly on Tuesday.

" First, everything should have been done on time. There is a good saying in English that ‘timing is everything.’ If you apply those very restrictions on time, you will have results. We [Armenia] applied restrictions too late, and in the wrong proportions.

Now it is impossible to control the pace of the pandemic. No scientific evidence is presented that we have a growth. I think we have reached the peak, it should go down now; this is my view, although I am not an expert,” Marukyan also said.
