Armenia’s President Armen Sarkissian sent a congratulatory message to President Salome Zourabichvili of Georgia on the latter’s national holiday: Day of Restoration of State Independence of Georgia.
The message particularly states that the friendship and mutual trust between the Armenian and Georgian peoples have proved their viability, successfully overcoming all trials and becoming the basis for the formation and development of good-neighborly relations between Armenia and Georgia.
Sarkissian added that especially today, in this difficult period due to COVID-19, the need for closer cooperation with neighbor and friendly Georgia is felt more clearly, and expressed a conviction that with joint efforts they will be able to also overcome this heavy ordeal facing humanity.
