David Babayan has issued a statement informing that he is resigning as the spokesperson for the President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh). The respective statement reads as follows:

Dear compatriots, friends and party members,

I have been the head of the Central Information Department of the Artsakh Republic President's Office for 13 years now, a structure that is responsible for the information policy of our country.

The information front, especially for our country, which is in a state of unresolved conflict, is of great strategic importance.

It has been an honor for me to lead this structure throughout all these years, be in the forefront of the information battlefield, serve my people and homeland. I have tried to do my job professionally, exclusively being guided by state and national interests.

Dear friends,

I want to inform you that today I am officially resigning. I thank all of my colleagues and media representatives for long-lasting efficient cooperation.

I would also like to wish success to Vahram Poghosyan who will substitute me in this position, wish him fruitful work.

P.S. Dear colleagues, I do not leave the political and public spheres. I have accepted the proposal of Artsakh Republic President Arayik Haroutyunyan and from now on I will serve to our homeland as an advisor to the Artsakh Republic President on foreign relations.

Being the leader of the Conservative Party of Artsakh, I and the members of the party will continue our active work in the political and public spheres of the republic.

P.P.S. I will sum up my 13-year-long work and talk about my future activity in more detail during my live broadcast on Facebook.
