YEREVAN. – We are dealing with the second wave of the coronavirus infection; the important feature here is that we know the way in which we can reduce our coronavirus indicators to zero. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at Wednesday's government sitting.

He added that in order to achieve this, three simple rules must be followed: wearing face masks, disinfecting and washing hands regularly, and maintaining a social distance.

Pashinyan noted that many Armenian citizens are now returning to their homeland, there may be infected persons among them, and if the spread of COVID-19 cannot prevented through public behavior, Armenia will always face such a situation.

"The second method is the administrative method; and we have decided to tighten the methods of enforcement on a daily basis so that all citizens follow these rules," he said.

The Prime Minister added that daily “raids” will be carried out in various settlements to determine on the spot to what extent the requirements are met.
