Senior Armenian officials are visiting the Sardarapat Memorial on Thursday on the occasion of the First Republic Day.

To note, festive events are organized here as well as in the Armenian diaspora every year, but this year the entry of vehicles and people to Sardarapat is prohibited due to the coronavirus pandemic and the resultant state of emergency in Armenia.

National Assembly speaker Ararat Mirzoyan was the first to visit the Sardarapat Memorial.

To note, newly inaugurated President of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Arayik Haroutyunyan is in Armenia on the occasion of this holiday.
