Over the past two days, the police and inspection bodies have conducted raids in the Davitashen, Nork Marash and Nubarashen Administrative Districts of Yerevan. This is what Chief of Police of Armenia Arman Sargsyan stated during a briefing held after the session of the Commandant’s Office today.

“Today, police conducted raids in Kentron Administrative District and conducted studies again. After an inspection visit, groups of police officers returned to the same territory and checked to see to what extent the rules are followed, and citizens have already been subjected to administrative liability for violation of the rules. Overall, 228 citizens have been subjected to administrative liability, and the activities of 62 economic operators have been suspended,” he said.

The police chief reported that toll bars and checkpoints have been placed on interregional roads, providing police officers with the opportunity to monitor the vehicles through which citizens are transported, as well as public transport. “Police officers are also checking to see if citizens wear face masks in public places, at bus stops, as well as in buses and taxis,” the police chief said.
