The Fund for Armenian Relief has reported the passing of renowned American-Armenian doctor, FAR’s good friend and colleague Dr. Raffy Hovanessian on its Facebook page. The Facebook post reads as follows:

“It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of a renowned American-Armenian doctor, FAR's good friend and colleague Dr. Raffy Hovanessian.

Dr. Raffy Hovanessian was a board member of the Armenian American Health Professionals Organization, and a passionate supporter of healthcare programs in Armenia. He particularly worked through the FAR program aimed to provide CME trainings for physicians from Artshakh.

Our condolences to Raffy Hovanessian's family and beloved ones. May he Rest In Peace.”
