YEREVAN. – Zhoghovurd daily of Armenia writes: NA [National Assembly] [majority] My Step faction MPs Mkhitar Hayrapetyan, Artak Manukyan, Vladimir Vardanyan, Hamazasp Danielyan, Artur Davtyan, and [opposition] PAP [Prosperous Armenia Party] faction member Sergey Bagratyan have tabled a legislative package which should be discussed at the National Assembly sitting that started on May 26.
And it is interesting that the [aforementioned] MPs propose to increase the number of positions in the National Assembly. In particular, they propose to amend the Law on Public Service and add positions such as adviser to the chair of the NA standing committee, and adviser to the NA faction.
And it turns out that the number of positions [in the parliament] may increase by 15, as there are 12 standing committees and three factions in the parliament. An adviser's salary is set with six coefficients, and he/she will receive a [monthly] salary of 390,000 [drams] (the basic [monthly] salary is 66,400 [drams]).
