YEREVAN. – As of 11am on Friday, a total of 8,676 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Armenia, of which 3,297 have been cured and 120 have resulted in death.
The Ministry of Health informed Armenian News-NEWS.am that 5,214 patients are currently receiving treatment for coronavirus. A total of 56,042 tests were performed.
Thus, we have 460 new cases of COVID-19 and 10 recovered patients in the past day.
The patients who died in the past day were 72 (male), 42 (female), 59 (male), 66 (male), 65 (female), 64 (male), and 56 (female) years old. Apart from the latter, everyone else had pre-existing chronic diseases.
Also, one death was reported the previous day when a patient was diagnosed with the coronavirus, but died of another illness. The total number of such cases is 45.
