Armenia has recorded a case when a COVID-19 asymptomatic patient had infected the entire village, general director of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention Artavazd Vanyan said on Friday.

"Anti-epidemic measures were taken to identify all patients to prevent the spread of infection. Today we offer three preventative measures. Firstly, we will identify patients at an early stage, isolate and treat them, isolate the circle of their contacts. Secondly, we urge business representatives to follow safety rules.

Thirdly, we urge the population to wear a mask, maintain social distancing, and follow hand hygiene," he noted.

According to him, recent events have shown that funerals and holidays can cause outbreaks.

"A case has been recorded when an asymptomatic carrier of coronavirus has infected an entire village," he added.
