YEREVAN. – A case of corruption crime has been recorder in Armavir Province of Armenia, the National Security Service (NSS) informed.

As per the respective police statement, as a result of the collaboration between the NSS and the police, facts were obtained that the then mayor of Armavir town had abused his official power and made an unlawful decision on January 26, 2010—and without a relevant decision by the Armavir municipal council, according to which he allocated for 75 years a public construction land of the town to the then President of the Football Federation of Armenia in order to build a shopping and service facility there.

A criminal case has been filed on this crime.

The investigation continues.
