No new asymptomatic COVID-19 cases have been reported in Wuhan since April 1, TASS reported referring to the city's health committee.

On May 31, about 60 thousand residents of Wuhan were tested for nucleic acids, as a result of which not a single asymptomatic case was detected, the document said.

The situation in the country

China has recorded 16 COVID-19 new cases among arrivals from abroad. However, over the past 24 hours, no death has been confirmed.

The total number of imported COVID-19 cases in China has reached 1,756, of which 1,694 have recovered, and another 62 are being treated. 

The total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases in China has reached 83 017, the death toll - 4,634, the number of recovered - 78,307.

The coronavirus outbreak was recorded at the end of 2019 in Wuhan and subsequently spread to most countries. On March 11, the World Health Organization recognized it as a pandemic.
