During a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Head of the Department of Information and Public Relations at Yerevan Municipality Iosif Kubatyan said two employees of Yerevan Municipality had tested positive for coronavirus last week, touching upon the press releases stating that there are dozens of employees of Yerevan Municipality whose relatives have been diagnosed with COVID-19, but those employees’ offices haven’t been sanitized and their possible contacts haven’t been tested.

“All the employees in the risk group don’t come to work. All the rules of the Commandant’s Office are observed, the offices are sanitized, and all the employees wear face masks and gloves,” he said.

When told that press releases state that one of the infected persons is Mayor Hayk Marutyan’s secretary and that she was on the bus for employees and asked if this is true, Kubatyan stated that he couldn’t state the names of infected persons due to the fact that it is personal data and that the rules are followed on the bus as well.
