The first case of coronavirus in Tandzut village of Armenia’s Armavir Province was confirmed during the May 27 visit of Prime Minister’s wife Anna Hakobyan. The news was confirmed by head of Tandzut village Mkhitar Petrosyan.

Petrosyan added that the village has reported the deaths of two people who had tested positive for coronavirus, but stated that he couldn’t say if they had died from the coronavirus or not.

“At this moment, three residents are under treatment at a hospital, the rest are at home. I can’t state figures,” the village head said, adding that the infected persons are mainly young people.
