Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s daughter, Mariam Pashinyan posted on her Instagram a photo in which she is wearing a face mask with Armenian national ornaments and added the following:

“Thank you all for well wishes and messages me, my parents and my sisters are diagnosed with #covid19

Currently, we have no symptoms and are feeling well.

I am so glad I have been wearing a mask these past couple of days. I was a covid carrier, and I didn’t even know about it. I pray that my mask prevented the virus from spreading, and affecting other people. Please wear your mask, since we don’t know how #covid19 is going to affect our loved ones

Now we are all under strict isolation at our home

I don’t know when this will end, but trust me, we can all postpone our goals, short-term and long-term plans.

Let’s be patient

We all will come of this stronger and healthier.

Please stay safe, and please let’s protect our loved ones."

Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Monday morning announced live on his Facebook page that he and his family had tested positive for COVID-19.

"I did not have any symptoms," he said. "It’s just that since there were plans to go to the frontline, I decided to take a test, and the test came back positive. Then we were tested with the whole family, and we have a positive result with the whole family."
