Today, as a result of urgent actions taken under the assignment of the Prime Minister of Armenia, the National Security Service of Armenia established that on June 1, on the occasion of International Children’s Defense Day, residents of several buildings in the Shengavit Administrative District of Yerevan had organized, in their yard, a festive event attended by about 50 people (including children and parents) and failed to observe the requirements of the Commandant’s Office for the state of emergency declared in the country.

The news service of the National Security Service reports that the event organizers have been found and that the Police of Armenia have instituted administrative proceedings against them.

The National Security Service of Armenia calls on citizens to show personal responsibility, avoid organizing public events and strictly follow the rules prescribed by the decisions of the Commandant for the state of emergency in order to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus and not put our health and the health of our relatives at risk.

The National Security Service will be consistently detecting the organizers of such events and subjecting them to liability as prescribed by law.
