The “Meymandar” market is closed. Armenia’s Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Wednesday wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"A special police operation was carried out at night, a criminal case has been initiated in connection with yesterday's events, about three dozen people have been apprehended, some have been detained," he added.

To note, a protest was staged Tuesday at the aforesaid market in Armavir Province, as the farmers selling their produce there were against the decision of the Commandant of the current state of emergency in Armenia due to the COVID-19 situation to close the market for 24 hours to carry out disinfection there.
