We must discuss what is happening in the country when hundreds of citizens are contracting the coronavirus, the country isn’t reaching the peak and we don’t even know what awaits us. This is what deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly Mikayel Melkumyan declared in parliament today.

“When the Prosperous Armenia Party was telling the government what it has to do and how, I particularly asked the Prime Minister what scenario the government is envisioning, and the Prime Minister said the government has a plan for the first two months and that the future scenario is a pessimistic one. Now we have to state the fact that the scenario in Armenia is pessimistic. This means the parliament needs to hold a special session and see if government officials are responsible or not,” Melkumyan said.

He also listed the countries that have overcome the coronavirus and said those countries applied specific tools to overcome it.

Melkumyan addressed the parliamentary speaker to convene an urgent consultation with all the factions and call government officials to explain what each of them is doing.
