YEREVAN. – You can also blame the Prime Minister of England, or Mr. [Gagik] Tsarukyan [tycoon, and leader of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) and of its parliamentary faction], who had said that it [COVID-19] does not touch kind people, but does not come to the [National Assembly (NA)] sessions hall today for understandable reasons. NA Vice Speaker Alen Simonyan on Wednesday said from the NA pulpit, addressing Prosperous Armenia faction member Naira Zohrabyan.

"The World Health Organization, and the world in general, are new to this [novel coronavirus]. I don't blame because both Mr. Tsarukyan and you and I were not familiar with this situation, and you don't know what would have happened if Naira Zohrabyan had been the Minister of Health of the RA [Republic of Armenia]. What situation would we have had in Armenia, worse or better. It is not fair to say from here that someone is throwing something at the RA citizen. We need to take that mission upon ourselves and set an example. There is no need to decouple us from the RA citizens and, for some reason, to protect from us,” said Simonyan.
