Guilt and responsibility are two different things. Trying to find someone to blame is the most fruitless effort. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Ruben Rubinyan said in his speech in parliament today, responding to deputy of the Prosperous Armenia faction Naira Zohrabyan’s speech in which the latter had called on the government to not leave it up to the people to be responsible for the situation created as a result of the spread of the coronavirus.

“Trying to find someone to blame is the most fruitless effort. As a matter of fact, you are doing just that. However, this doesn’t mean that people shouldn’t realize that they, as well as the Prime Minister, the Commandant and police officers are responsible. Cooperation between a tough government and an aware citizen is the only way to overcome the coronavirus. If you want us to move forward in the fight against the epidemic, you can start by trying to make one of your deputies wear a face mask,” he stated.
