The National Security Service of Armenia has detected problems with ensuring security in certain sectors on the southern border of Armenia. This is what Director of the National Security Service Eduard Martirosyan said during a discussion on the report on the performance of the 2019 State Budget held as part of the joint session of parliamentary standing committees today.

According to Martirosyan, there are technical problems in certain sectors.

“Those sectors are inhabited, and as you know, the National Security Service ensures security on the border through the civilians of borderline villages who give us signals in certain cases,” Martirosyan explained, adding that some citizens have been awarded for their alertness and that the National Security Service is in need of additional resources for observation and monitoring.
