Protesters of Minneapolis are outraged by the mayor's refusal to abolish the police department, Washington Examiner reported.

Hundreds of demonstrators marched around the city to stop funding for the Minneapolis Police Department following the death of African-American George Floyd.

The procession came to the house of the mayor of the city, Jacob Frey.

The Mayor of Minneapolis addressed the audience, saying that he supported major reforms in the police department.

But when protesters asked him if he would abolish the police, Frey said: “I do not support the full abolition of the police department."

Thus, chants of "Go home Jacob, go home," followed as the crowd parted, allowing Frey to leave.
