The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia, Artak Davtyan, has submitted a petition for being dismissed from office, according to Pastinfo.

To note, a crowded wedding of Davtyan's son took place Sunday, despite the ban set by the Office of the Commandant of the current state of emergency in Armenia due to the COVID-19 situation in the country.

The wedding party took place in the mansion of the chief of the general staff of the army, and it was attended by a number of officials.

Davtyan on Monday did not deny the fact of this wedding, noting, however, that everyone has the right to privacy. "I urge some people, the media, not to enter my and my family's private space, and not to try to involve me in political games," Artak Davtyan said, in particular, in his respective statement.
