Armenia and Azerbaijan have agreed to distribute radiofrequencies on the border. This is what Minister of High-Tech Industry of Armenia Hakob Arshakyan said during a discussion on the performance of the 2019 State Budget held as part of the joint session of parliamentary standing committees today.

Arshakyan said he had held three meetings with representatives of Azerbaijan through cooperation with the International Telecommunication Union in 2019 in Geneva, and the discussions were devoted to the problems related to border frequencies.

“To this day, the talks with Baku have been fruitless since the parties have failed to agree which frequencies each country has to use, but the past three meetings were fruitful. We reached an agreement on 134 frequencies, and Armenia is currently using them freely,” the minister said.
