The Penitentiary Service of Armenia has filed a motion with the Administrative Court with the request to abolish the decision on leaving second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan at Izmirlian Medical Center until the end of the coronavirus pandemic. During a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am, Robert Kocharyan’s attorney Aram Orbelyan said the motion is unsubstantiated.

“The Penitentiary Service’s desire to do everything possible to keep Robert Kocharyan at a penitentiary institution is itself unlawful. We are dealing with Kocharyan’s pre-trial measure for which my fellow attorneys and I have presented substantiated grounds,” Aram Orbelyan said.
