On June 7 at 12:05 a.m. a citizen called the police and reported that gunshots had been fired near Shengavit metro station.

The news service of the Police of Armenia reports that the operational group of police officers left for the scene and found the body of a 38-year-old man with firearm injuries.

The police inspected the scene and found a used projectile and cartridges.

Police and investigators took all necessary actions to reveal the particularly grave crime, and after a short while, the crime was revealed.

A 32-year-old man, who is suspected of the crime and has been detained, showed the police the pistol used to commit the crime, but there were no bullets in the pistol.

A criminal case has been instituted in relation to the incident. Expert examinations have been designated, and preliminary investigation is underway.
