The Turkish prosecutor's office of Izmir has issued an arrest warrant for 191 military personnel suspected of ties to the opposition preacher Fethullah Gulen, the Anatolian Agency reported.

Operations to detain suspects are carried out in 23 provinces of Turkey and 145 people have been detained accused of participating in fraud organized by Gulen’s supporters when passing exams for military service.

Turkish authorities accuse Gulen’s organization - which they call FETO - of having been involved in coup d'état attempt in July 2016. After the rebellion in Turkey, over 80 thousand people were arrested, about 150 thousand civil servants, including military personnel, were dismissed or suspended from work. Gulen himself - who is in the US - condemned the coup attempt and rejected the allegations.
