In 2019, 332 petitions were submitted to the Constitutional Court (CC), of which 248 were constitutional. Edgar Ghazaryan, Chief of Staff of the CC, stated this during Tuesday’s debates on the 2019 state budget performance report, at the joint sitting of the standing committees of the National Assembly of Armenia.

He noted this when responding to question of the ruling My Step bloc MP Hamazasp Danielyan that the CC has started to delay its answers.

According to the chief of staff of the CC, in practice, petitions to the Constitutional Court are answered within a maximum of two days.
