A tragic incident took place Tuesday in Kotayk Province of Armenia, shamshyan.com reported.
At around 11:10pm, the 911 hotline received a call that there were three dead bodies in the tunnel of a non-operating gold mine in Meghradzor village.
Rescuers, police, and several citizens found the dead bodies of three persons in this tunnel. According to preliminary reports, they had died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
These rescuers, citizens, and police carried the dead to a waiting ambulance, on foot, on stretchers, and for about 2 kilometers.
