US authorities intend to arrest several people accused of organizing riots during protests, said Attorney General William Barr in an interview with Fox News.

According to him, he can't set deadlines for these investigations, but they are fully committed to curbing these groups.

Barr said Monday the US authorities are investigating some protesters related to the Antifa movement. He added that these people were detained during protests on charges of crimes. In late May, US President Donald Trump noted the US authorities intend to add the Antifa movement to the list of terrorist organizations. He argued that radical left groups are responsible for riots.

Mass protests and riots broke out in many US states after the death of African-American George Floyd. Three police officers handcuffed Floyd, threw him to the ground and apprehended him, and one of them pressed his knee on the man's neck. All four police officers involved in the detention have been fired and charged.
