YEREVAN. – In 2019, the Ministry of Territorial Development and Infrastructure of Armenia used 90.3 percent—which amounts to 60.3 billion drams—of the funds allocated from the state budget for territorial development. Suren Papikyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, stated this during Wednesday’s debates on the 2019 state budget performance report, at the joint sitting of the standing committees of the National Assembly.

According to him, these funds were used to develop Armenia’s infrastructure, provide subsidies in its provinces, etc. "In 2019, 65.9 percent—which totals 6.4 billion drams—of subsidies were used for infrastructure development, which were used by various provinces of the republic," the minister added.
