Iranian Health Ministry Spokeswoman Sima Sadat Lari noted on Wednesday that 81 more Iranians died of COVID-19 in the past day, IRNA reported.
According to her, 140,590 people out of a total of 177,938 infected have recovered, however, the death toll has reached 8,506.
Lari noted that 2,011 new cases have been confirmed since yesterday.
She added that 151,032 tests have so far been carried out in Iran.
