Germany extends travel warning to over 160 countries outside Europe until late August, AP reported.

The government agreed to extend the recommendations introduced on March 17 in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic to almost all non-EU countries, except some that have successfully contained the outbreak.

The government also announced the end of border controls for EU citizens coming to Germany.

Almost all federal states of Germany require travelers arriving from countries where 50 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants have been reported in the last seven days to be quarantined for two weeks.
