On 10 June, Vassilis Maragos, the Head of the European Commission’s DG NEAR Unit responsible for Armenia and Richard Tibbels, the Head of Division for Eastern Partnership bilateral relations at European External Action Service, joined by EU Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin, finalized the virtual mission with a meeting with five civil society representatives.
An open exchange of views took place focusing on the current political situation, COVID-19, the role of the civil society, the ongoing and future EU support to vulnerable groups in response to the social and economic challenges Armenia is facing.
