Now is not the time to assess the current situation and the actions that have been taken. This is what Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan told reporters today.

“This is not just my opinion. If you pay attention, you will see that many developed countries are also talking about the fact that now is not the time to assess the actions and the results of lockdown. There are even experts who say strict lockdown can lead to positive results in a certain period, but the consequences can be direr. I would recommend not giving evaluations until the pandemic is neutralized,” the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized.

Doesn’t the government want to set up a commission to understand the reasons for the current situation? In response, Grigoryan said the following: “Setting up a commission is a way of implementing the process. I’m talking about the logic. Of course, we need to understand the situation at least for the future and the generations, but only after the pandemic ends. When it ends, it will be right to talk about the reasons and actions that had a positive impact and those that had a negative impact.”
