A Turkish court sentenced US consulate employee Metin Topuz to 8 years and 9 months in prison for aiding a terrorist organization, Reuters reported referring to Anadolu news agency.
Topuz was detained by Turkish law enforcement authorities in October 2017 and has since been in custody. He was accused of having links with FETO and espionage.
