YEREVAN. – We know that many European countries—for example, Belgium, Spain, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom—were in a much worse condition than Armenia in terms of the rate of mortality from COVID-19. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mentioned this at Friday’s National Assembly debates on extending the state of emergency in Armenia for another month.

"There also is another issue here so that we can come to the right conclusions when calculating that percentage. There is an opinion that the mortality rate in all countries is the same—0.3%, and these 100 thousand numbers are formed from that the fact that the number of deaths should be considered as 0.3%, and 99.7% should be added to it and get the total number of infected people in the country," he added.
