Serbia will provide large-scale humanitarian aid to Armenia as support to the fight against the coronavirus following the phone talks held by Presidents of Armenia and Serbia Armen Sarkissian and Aleksandar Vucic, as reported the official website of the President of Armenia.

Recently, President Armen Sarkissian held phone talks with Vucic with whom he has friendly ties. The presidents touched upon the coronavirus situation, and the Serbian president emphasized that Serbia is willing to support Armenia. President Sarkissian presented the required accessories that the health minister had provided to him.

During a recent meeting with healthcare specialists, President Sarkissian had stated that he had talked to his Serbian counterpart again and the latter had provided information about the quantity and types of assistance that the Serbian president is preparing to send to his Armenian counterpart and the friendly people of Armenia.

Over the next couple of days, two planes will arrive in Armenia from Serbia, carrying a large quantity of medical accessories and equipment. Armenia will particularly receive 10 ventilators, 10 monitors for overseeing patients’ health conditions, 500,000 surgical masks and 100,000 face masks, 25,000 protective gloves, 25,000 pieces of medical protective wear and other necessary accessories.

During the phone talks, President Sarkissian thanked Aleksandar Vucic and the friendly Serbian people for the ongoing cordial attitude towards Armenia and the Armenian people.
