The ICRC is in contact with the concerned authorities on the issue of an apprehended citizen of Azerbaijan.

"We are in contact with the concerned authorities on your mentioned issue. As you may know, it is in the ICRC mandate as a neutral intermediary humanitarian organization, to visit persons detained in relation to the conflict, to monitor their treatment and conditions of detention and provide them with the opportunity to maintain contact with their family," Zara Amatuni, Communication and Prevention Manager of the ICRC Delegation in Armenia told Armenian News - NEWS.am.

Armenian National Security Service reports that a 26-year-old Azerbaijani has been apprehended on suspicion of trespassing the state border of Armenia in the northeastern direction of the line of contact between the armed forces of Armenia and Azerbaijan at around 10 a.m. on Friday.

The Azerbaijani had a bag in which there were personal items. The NSS is currently clarifying all the circumstances behind the border trespassing.
