YEREVAN. – One of the most important challenges of the banking system is the increase of financial “literacy” in the current period among the citizens of the Republic of Armenia, among all of us. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this Monday at the Central Bank of Armenia (CBA) while introducing the newly elected CBA governor, Martin Galstyan, to his staff.

"Of course, one of our biggest challenges will be to make the banking system more people-centered," Pashinyan added, in particular.

According to him, the most important result of the CBA's activities is that the price stability has been maintained in Armenia during the current crisis situation. "I'm glad we were able to succeed in that regard. Of course, we have huge problems in the fight against the coronavirus itself, and in the context of solving those problems, there are many more sociopsychological problems than economic, health,” Pashinyan added.
