The Ministry of Finance of Armenia will be granted the right to develop a sub-legislative act for the public sector. This is what Deputy Minister Arman Poghosyan declared during a session of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia today.

Poghosyan stated that, based on the new edition of the Constitution, even though the Prime Minister is entitled to regulate a certain sector through sub-legislative acts, the right has to be enshrined by law, and the government has drafted a bill proposing to grant a similar right to the Ministry of Finance.

The deputy minister added that enforcement of the law will begin with the introduction of a database for the public sector.

After discussions, the standing committee approved the bill.
