With 87 votes in favor and no votes against, the National Assembly of Armenia voted in favor of granting permission to deprive Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan of liberty through a secret ballot.

The Bright Armenia and Prosperous Armenia factions had declared that they weren’t going to participate in the vote.

Earlier, 87 deputies had voted in favor of the Prosecutor General’s petition to prosecute Gagik Tsarukyan.
