The Prosperous Armenia Party is currently holding very constructive negotiations, and a political process is in progress, but allow me not to go into details. This is what secretary of the Prosperous Armenia faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Arman Abovyan told reporters today, touching upon the political party’s recommendation to set up a new probe committee.

When told that leader of the Bright Armenia Party Edmon Marukyan has said his political party will agree to collaborate, if the head of the committee is a representative of his political party, Abovyan said: “I think neither the Prosperous Armenia Party nor our colleagues can speak to each other with preconditions. Although we respect, Mr. Marukyan’s opinion, I won’t provide any details at this moment.”

Asked if the Prosperous Armenia Party is waiting for the court’s decision on the arrest of Gagik Tsarukyan before taking action, Abovyan said the following: “No, that has nothing to do with this. They are totally different political processes.”
