On June 20, leader of Homeland Party Artur Vanetsyan had meetings with the party’s new members and supporters at the headquarters of the political party. During the meetings, Vanetsyan provided the reasons for the threatening spread of the coronavirus, gave evaluations of the social-economic and moral-psychological situation in the country, showed the paths to overcome the deepening systemic crisis in public administration and discussed practical issues for participation in the campaign to address the ideological-political principles and values of the party to all layers of society.

The meetings with members and supporters from Yerevan and various provinces of Armenia were held in an active and friendly atmosphere, providing all the participants with the opportunity to express their opinions and share their recommendations. The leader of the party highlighted the following: “We have a roadmap for nonturbulent power shift, but coming to power isn’t an end in itself since the important thing is to ensure the interest of the state and society. The incumbent authorities have wasted the trust of the majority of people with sound judgment and must step down without turbulence. We need to lay the foundations for security, stability and progress of our people and country with rule of law and democracy as the benchmarks.”

During the meetings, the leader of the party and the members and supporters expressed views on the need to proceed with other political parties that share Homeland Party’s ideology and to act with the support of reputable intellectuals, scholars, journalists, statesmen and other figures in society.

As the political council of Homeland Party reported, hundreds of people apply to join the political party every day.
