Minister of Justice of Armenia Rustam Badasyan has posted the following on his Facebook page:

“Touching upon the statement that four judges of the Constitutional Court of Armenia made in regard to the regulations of the Constitutional Law on the Constitutional Court a few hours before entry into force of the amendments to the Constitution, I deem it necessary to state that, pursuant to part 1 of Article 5 of the Constitution, the Constitution shall have supreme legal force. The transitional provisions defined by the amendment to the Constitution have a direct impact, and their validity isn’t conditioned by the adoption of other acts. The laws will be brought into compliance with the Constitution within short periods, but this is not what helped mediate the act of making amendments to the Constitution which will enter into force tomorrow.”
