YEREVAN. – First of all, I congratulate on the entry into force of the constitutional amendments today. Judge Vahe Grigoryan of the Constitutional Court of Armenia on Friday stated this in a conversation with journalists in front of the Constitutional Court.

"I consider that this is a solution to the crisis of the Constitutional Court, and I unequivocally welcome this step of the National Assembly; this is a bold and historic step. The historic fact is that for the first time the National Assembly, acting on behalf of the Constitution, amending the Constitution, dedicated that amendment to the Constitutional Court itself, thus emphasizing the importance of the Constitutional Court in the system of state bodies and viewing it as a primary crisis that needed to be resolved," he said

Grigoryan noted that he comes to the Constitutional Court for work every day, but starting today, he will take part in the court’s sessions, too. "As of now, there are already six judges in the court; that is enough quorum to exercise all the powers of the Constitutional Court,” he added.
